A woman has opened up almost her best friend'south deceit as she told her she wouldn't exist immune to attend her wedding if she wore makeup.

In an anonymous post on Reddit, the woman explained that she is the maid of accolade at her best friend of many years' wedding.

"For context: I am a makeup creative person, I wear makeup every day, and I am adept at it," she explained.

"In my opinion (and every bit my friend had told me) I am significantly more attractive with makeup on, and in all honestly I lack confidence without information technology. I also have a scar on my face that I hide with makeup, and am very insecure about."

In the past, she claims her friend has made many comments well-nigh her appearance and her makeup to men she's been interested in.

"She says things like 'you should see her without makeup' when a guy expresses interest in me or talks about how 'information technology can exist wiped abroad' if a man calls me pretty/beautiful."

Although she has apologised for the comments and opened up about how "she was just jealous I got more male attention than her," the comments continued, even recently during her engagement.

The woman continued: "This morning, I woke up to a text from her thanking me for all my aid these past months, and saying she had an important request for me."

The bridehoped-for asked her non to vesture whatsoever makeup to her wedding.

"She says if I wear makeup I will 'overshadow' (her words) her at her ain wedding and it would be unfair because she wants to feel similar the almost beautiful person in the room every bit the helpmate," explained the poster.

She told her that her request was "ridiculous" as everyone will be wearing makeup, and it would await odd if she was all dressed upwards and had a bare face.

To try and proceed the peace, she offered to practice more natural makeup and said that she would use brighter colours to brand her stand out since she is doing her makeup for her (free of charge).

But she turned this down.

The woman added: "She said I absolutely cannot habiliment makeup, information technology's her wedding, a real friend would want her to accept the perfect 24-hour interval, etc.

"She accused me of wanting to take the attention from her on her special day, etc. She absolutely refuses to compromise, despite non beingness able to answer why I specifically can't clothing makeup simply everyone else tin…"

Then, she asked users whether information technology would be unreasonable for her not to attend the hymeneals as her friend knows how self-witting she is without it, and everyone agreed her friend was in the wrong.
